Almost four years ago, Paul James took over The Blackboys Inn and what a difference he has made. He has completely transformed the old pub and has created a unique business which offers everything- the whole package! The old public bar is still there but it is freshly decorated with a homely feel. The restaurant areas are cosy and there are intimate booths and all dining experiences are catered for from bar snacks to more formal meals. The decor is vibrant and is continually being updated. Outside there is the traditional pub garden with many tables and seats - we try to accomodate everybody! There is also 'The Orchard' and 'The Secret Garden' (adults only) for those special occasions. He has also converted the old barn into a glitzy function room - it is known throughout the county as 'The Room' - it is the place for all types of functions from weddings to parties to conferences. The latest addition is 'Bed and Breakfast' - the pub now has two superbly equipped rooms where you can stay after a function.
It is true - The Blackboys has it all!
